The Jefferson Live Music Foundation will present “Rhythm ‘n’ Ribs”, a three- day music event featuring five bands, held at Rotary Waterfront Park in downtown Jefferson, July 26th-28th.
The concert on Thursday, July 26th is sponsored by Rock Bottom Express and The Hair Salon will feature Milwaukee area cover band the Screamin’ Cucumbers. This five member band has played at a variety of Milwaukee venues, including Summerfest and State Fair. The Cukes’ set list consists primarily of great danceable pop, rock and country tunes with a bit of an emphasis on the 80s.
Friday, July 27th brings to the stage the killer harmonies, rock solid grooves and soaring instrumentals of country band Reckless Remedy. Sponsored by Remax Lake Mills and Classic Homes and Remodeling, Reckless Remedy has been entertaining crowds at Country USA, Summerfest and State Fair.
Saturday, July 28th features three different bands throughout the day. First up at Noon, sponsored by Century21 Integrity Group and Olsen-Gibson Funeral Home, is the group Katie & Co. which features two local musicians. They play a variety of genres including country, rock and pop, along with some classics and originals. Mixing it up is something they love to do, turning a pop song more country or taking a rock song and turning it reggae, so be ready for some surprises. At 3PM the Jefferson Lion’s Riblicious judging will begin. The second band to take the stage at 3:30PM, sponsored by DDR Insurance and Huntington Bank, is the rock ‘n’ roll band, Ol’ Style Skratch. Over the last three years, this four-piece group has been entertaining audiences all over Wisconsin, and has developed a loyal fan base that enjoy the bluesy and soulful rock ‘n’ roll sound. The final band of the day, 33 RPM, sponsored by Nestle-Purina, will take the stage at 7PM. 33RPM is a high energy classic rock band playing some of the best classic “album” rock ever produced, including a Heart tribute set. This band faithfully recreates the classics with amazing precision and care…each song a tribute.
